I love Zion (although it's constantly too crowded now - I go to the north end now). Capitol Reef is wonderful too. My favorite is the Needles part of Canyonlands. You could spend a lifetime there and still be discovering things. Another fave of mine is Natural Bridges national monument. Very remote and not heavily visited. The north side of the Grand Canyon. I love 'me all! All within a couple of hours of where you live.
