Hi Walt,

I'm beginning to feel like you and George. You guys educate the threadsters on the geology and I educate them in all the whys and wherefores of the VSE. Maybe the three of us should open an internet school where the graduates will be fully versed on geology and penny stock investing. Perhaps Tomato can teach an elective in song writing.

Jitney; Jitney House.

When an insider of a deal who say usually deals through Canaccord wants to blow out his paper without his fellow insiders or the market knowing; he tells his broker to jitney the stock. His broker/trader then calls another brokerage firm and sells the stock through that firm. So lets say Canaccord sells 100,000 shares, it shows as a sale through house 63. That is a jitney. House 63 on Vancouver and they are the biggest jitney house in town. Yorkton uses house 31 and house 86 alot. It can also work the other way if insiders wish to accumulate stock without the market noticing.

Another jitney house on the VSE is house 8.

Historically the term originates from the early part of the century when private individuals in unlicensed cars used to cruise by street car stops and offer rides. These were called jitney cabs.
