I think there are a lot of reasons we are where we are (in terms of poor quality candidates for President). Clearly we aren't getting the best of what America has to offer! How we fix that I don't know. What I do know is that we're in the process of financially destroying our country. Leaders/Admins are more concerned about quick fix economic solutions to enhance their legacy than they are in making the tough, unpopular decision that's in the long term best interests of the country. This can't continue much longer or we'll become the Soviet Union after the walls fell. Financially we cannot keep going the way we're going. We have the perfect storm brewing and it better get fixed or we're headed for some dark economic times.
