On another subject, Hugh Hewitt rightly remarks that American media are paying no attention to Gaza, which is about to blow up. The Pals are now shelling Ashkelon (pop 100,000) as well as Sderot. Even a lame hack like Olmert can't ignore it any longer, esp. as Ehud Barak is now DM. Barak may have been a disaster as PM, but he is a competent general.

So the Israelis are gearing to go in and stay for a while. Hizbullah will probably coordinate by attacking Israel from the north. The usual moaning about the poor poor Gazans and Lebanese will go on - from a safe distance. The BBC doesn't send white guys into Gaza anymore, I believe. Not since Alan Johnston's excellent adventure there last year. But we can look forward to seeing Mr. Green Helmet man in south Lebanon again.
