you: If Microsoft are going to certify the 915 chipset as Vista compatible, then any consumer gripe is with Microsoft, not Intel.

Your statement is not true if Microsoft was pressured by a dominant market firm (Intel). Capitulating to that would be conspiracy to maintain both firms dominant position. Do you really think MS would have lowered the minimum standard for Vista Premium certification if AMD or VIA had requested it?
