You and I enjoy rights that was not previously available to the most fortunate people.

And where do you think these rights come from?

Private property depends on property rights, which do not exist without government and law.

Exactly. No right exists without it being codified in law and without the ability of the government to back it up. The rights you and I have are in our Constitution. We have a judiciary and an executive department to back them up with force if necessary. The only rights that anyone has are are those that can be backed up with force if necessary.

Now, you claim a right to health care. What codification of that can you produce? None. And what force do you have at your disposal to enforce it? None. Ergo, there is no right to health care. It's as simple as that.

You may want to create such a right, which is your privilege to pursue, but there isn't one now. Quit acting like there is. What you are doing is rent-seeking, trying to get the rest of us to tap the tax payers to fund your pet project. In that you are just like the other lobbyists, the ones who lobby for agricultural or business subsidies. You are free to play that role if you like and if you get enough people on your side, you'll get your subsidy just like the big boyz do. But understand what role you are playing. Don't claim that there are rights when they don't exist.
