Interesting. I never experienced Reagan as inspirational. Just saw the destruction--Central America, the debt and deficit, the shredding of the safety net, the increased attacks on social security, etc.

But Reagan taught me a lesson I'm trying to unlearn which is to vote for the "lesser evil."

I had to work my way through a litany, in the early Dem primaries this year, of voting for Clinton because she was the safer bet, both on policy grounds and electability ones. South Carolina was instrumental in changing that.
