The Iranians and the Syrians would certainly get involved if Al-Qaeda began to pose a serious threat. The Saudis, Egyptians, Jordanians, the Turks and others would get involved to fight the Iranians and the Syrians ... And of course the rest of the world would not sit idly by watching the theatrics.
