I'm not arguing that the college graduates are well prepared in science and/or engineering. It's quite bad, in fact.

But so far as science is concerned, it's the fault of the science faculty. They simply don't take it seriously. Mostly because their incentive structures are wrong. Prestige and dollars comes from shuttling off larger and larger numbers to grad schools rather than preparing lawyers to know some science or future politicians or teachers or whatever.

As for engineers, the credentialing matter just became more than we could bridge.

Incidentally, if I might suggest, it doesn't qualify you as a good member of the conversational group here, if you say about someone you disagree with that they are simply uneducated. It's something of an insult. And particularly to say it to a third party.

Neolib is one of the smarter folk here. I'm always surprised just how much I learn reading his posts. You might wait a while. Or, heaven forbid. Apologize.
