I just tried to find exact documentation:

spreadsheets.google.com

Note:
- "kr." is the DKK currency and is locked to Euro at 7,45 kr = 1 Euro
- The difference between list price and actual retail price has increased during the last couple of years, lowering the actual retail price by about 0,50 to 1,00. The DK retail price is not shown.
- Index adjusted means adjusted according to the CPI from dst.dk, which I consider trustworthy.
- The chart does not show the variations inside each year, which would show a significant overlap in price range from year to year.

Gas retail price is now actually lower than 2 years ago, and that's without price index adjustment.

The U.S. gas prices are also lower than 2 years ago (!)
