Chris,

I am no supporter of the ID theory per se.

I just pointed out the facts around the Cambrian Explosion and why in particular the CE got that name.

This is old and was well known to Charles Darwin as well.

Considering all the big bucks invested since then by science to prove that those missing higher life forms found were indeed present even prior to the CE, it is truly amazing that those efforts and bucks have but all come in futile and found nothing new.

Nothing has been found and in lieu of that pure speculation has been taking over. That is where scientists cross the borders into the land of believing only. Believing in how it should look, looking for a theory to believe in, a theory which would give them comfort while making the ID and other contenders for the final truth look the most stupid.

Personally I believe it's extremely naive to believe in any one single theory to explain how life came to and developed on Earth.
