Interesting article, John, thanks for sharing it. It makes me wonder if there is another problem some people have or will face: Not being able to sell their homes only because the paperwork can not be located by their mortgage company. This would be a last minute discovery. I can't imagine a buyer willing to purchase a home with an old mortgage lien hanging over it. As an aside, my house is on the market right now (because I want to move to another state). Some 'buyers' are playing games, scheduling showings with multiple real estate agents then cancelling at the last minute. Lynn
