Now we are looking at a $3.3 trillion cost to the Iraq war, and probably a wrecked economy due to the need to pump $$$$ into the economy caused because the diversion of $$$$ and resources into the war effort meant the civilian economy would be $$$$ starved without the pump priming. And the funds to fight the war and help our wounded are funds which otherwise could have rebuilt our wrecked infrastructure, or done so much else.

Bush and his clowns certainly left us in the hole big time. On top of that the left us with unfunded liabilities such as the phoney Medicare Part D or the big drug bailout program, and a tax base that is too narrow to even cover current needs , let alone cover the expectations of the future.

Not to mention that their total bungling has left the dollar in a shambles and left us with skyrocketing oil and food prices -- and a huge current account deficit.
