That would be known as "cherry picking".. The universal plans being proposed would mandate coverage for all despite a pre-existing condition. BTW, a nephew of mine left a big company for a job without company insurance..... The insurance plan quoted to him for his family of 5 was well above 1500/month. Reason,... he has "high" cholesterol... "You can't insure against the risk of a pre-existing condition." That would eliminate just about everyone...
