I think Paulson made the comments because the FED is run by a bunch of intellectuals that keep trying to destroy capital formation with high interest rates. If the FED is trying to achieve price stability, they have achieved their goal. The stock market has gone nowhere in 8 years, and they wiped out almost $150 billion in financial assets since last summer.

I think it's really precious that all the commodity speculators keep arguing for higher rates. In reality, lower rates is one of the greatest reasons to be in commodities right now. So, sit back and appreciate all the money you are making from the twisted speculation in the commodity markets right now. I mean really, the commodity bulls have everyone thinking that gold prices are going higher in the biggest deleveraging, post inflation bubbles in the history of real estate. Where is the long term demand for metals right now?
