PetroQuest Energy, Inc. operates as an independent oil and gas company. The company holds interest in Turtle Bayou Field and Main Pass Block 74 in Gulf Coast Basin; SE Carthage Field in Texas; and various natural gas properties in Oklahoma. As of December 31, 2006, the company had 2,731 thousand barrels of crude oil of proved oil reserves and 118,153 million cubic feet equivalent of natural gas reserves. As of the above date, it owned working interests in 16 gross producing oil wells and 571 gross producing gas wells. PetroQuest Energy was founded in 1983 and is headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana.
