I had one on a small commuter coming into New London one time. They diverted us because they closed the airport but when we got to Philly they closed that also but said we had a window in New London. Upon our return we were told it was closed again then the pilot declared a fuel emergency. Our first try we were blown off the runway and circled to try again. On the second pass we were at the 30° angle to the runway until about 25' off the ground at which point he squared the plane and dove it into the runway. We hit so hard I actually had a sore lower back. Flattened a tire even. Everyone was so glad to be on the ground they were congratulating him on the landing:)
