I am addicted to Spider and to a game called "Super Texttwist", which requires a little bit more thinking. I do only the middle level of Spider; Dan does the hard one, which I think is impossible.

My brain is clear enough to know that I don't need to spend 275 on a program! Are they trying to scam my poor aging self?

I think the most important thing is remaining externally focused. My 83 year old mominlaw is a wonderful example. She is in several clubs, including a book club, follows politics avidly, loves people and their stories; she spends very little time worrying about herself.

When I was down in Houston last week, my friend who is two years younger than I am, and I noticed that our conversation was punctuated by these pauses as we tried to recall a name or a word. It got so bad, we started keeping a list of things to Google periodically. Sometimes we would shout out a word hours later.
Have you had the experience of losing a word altogether? No matter how many times you relearn it, you can't recall it when you need it.
Mine is- ummmm-well, of course I can't remember it.
I call it the "sweeper upper thingie".
Dust pan, that's it.
