1970's stagflation kicked in almost everywhere by 1977. There were places like NYC in a world of hurt from what you are describing that lagged..much of the country property was booming and appreciating at a rapid clip as best as I can tell. If you think pass through of oil, copper and other commodities doesn't impact property long term then well I can't say much more to sway your thinking that property is a paper asset.. Any idea how property prices have done in third world bananna republics during their currency collapses?
