Perhaps it is YOU who does not get it -- New York, despite the rats on four legs and two legs, is a place where the rich and powerful actually like to hang out from time to time. I would not buy real estate in New York now for any reason and I have no reason to think it will do well, but it is one of the few places in the US where a case might be made that foreign buyers might prop up the high end of the market. What will NOT make you money is buying real estate "bargains" in nowheresville USA,
