Ethanol- Uses almost as much energy as it produces.
Newer processes will use less, admitidly this is only a stopgap.

Arctic Drilling- So minimal as it doesn't even have an effect at the margin.

How the hell do you know? Nobody knows because they haven't allowed test drilling, and there are other vast areas, though we may have to wait out the next ice age.

deep sea drilling- Umm, we're doing that.

No just shallow and medium dept for now. Most drillin is on the continental shelf.

nuclear power- Bingo, one of the solutions.

fuel cells- Years from an economic solution. We need more and more efficient hybrids evolving to plug in hybrids evolving to all electric vehicles.

They work well now, we just need more of the former (nuclear power)to produce the hydrogen and produce them in enough quantity.

build more refineries- This will make the system more efficient and reduce prices a little but doesn't address the fundamental problem. And as we become more fuel efficient they will sit empty.

It affects supply and demand of gas supplies, I didn't say energy solutions, I said supply and demand.

In the meantime we are transferring $Billions each day in US wealth to Middle East countries and other players like Venezuela and Russia. Our dollar is getting trampled and a new US inflation cycle is taking hold while we are in a recession.

Hugh, what about your promise to put me on ignore. I'm disappointed!

Did I say that? I must have been thinking about something else.
