I think the early 70s affected gas lines in very large cities. In Huntsville, AL there was few if any lines then. Though in the late 70's there were lines there, Atlanta, Washington, Baltimore, Hagerstown MD, and even at my grandparents home in Opp Al. Places I managed to vist during that time.
