yes, I agree... our heads are in a vice.

I never used my house as an ATM, just a place to live so I don't even think about it's fall in value (although the neighbors trying to sell evidently believe the value has gone up 10% instead of down 10% in the past year). My payment has stayed the same; even adjusted for inflation, my payment + taxes has remained even or slightly down.
