Bernanke Asks Taxpayers To Bail Out Banks globaleconomicanalysis.blogspot.com Bernanke's speech was mostly a rehash of old ideas that have failed spectacularly. However, Bernanke proposed one new, and scary idea: nationalization of mortgages by the FHA on a grand scale. Bernake is clearly asking taxpayers to foot the bill for irresponsible bank lending.
