I can't speak for the thread jj, but personally I posted tons today almost entirely related to a near-term trend change to bullish and major position shift in my portfolio which I felt was imminent. And frankly most of the posts I read today were of a similar nature. Its not like I read anyone expecting the market to collapse today.

And I agree with Freep, it seems that whenever I do read the thread it is the bulls trying to talk the market up so there's nothing new there anyways.
