If your comments reflect reality, it should be amply clear that "the basics" does not get one to a functional system. A functional system has to have agreement on how money is regulated. "Too much" or "too little" is not a formula for a functional system. Whats the formula?

What should the target inflation rate even be?

Why should it be that?

Is debt good or bad?

Is saving good or bad?

The list goes on and on. And no, there is not agreement on any of the above fundamental issues. Lots of hand waving with words like "too much" or "too little" used liberally.
