I think he would start with the 'Dem base States'... and then possibly add a couple that Clinton couldn't carry. Wouldn't take too many to amount to an Electoral College landslide given the narrow divide that has characterized American national elections for a while now. (Likely candidates might well be: CO, VA, OH, FL, WI, etc., though other's lists no doubt will differ.) Not too confident that Mac could alternately pull any from the Dem base States --- but he likely would run stronger with Clinton as his opponent. (She is the GOP's best shot for a win... she unites and strengthens the GOP base so, and her winning the nomination over Obama would piss-off at least half of the Dem base....) Her poll-tested negatives have consistently hovered around 49% or so for years --- so there is little potential 'upside' with her campaign, regardless. It has a 'ceiling' on it.
