Kerry is a true hero and patriot. He proved it. But not a single major Bushie leader ever served in combat though they were all of the right age to be sent to Vietnam. Kerry volunteered for combat though he could have evaded it like Bush-Cheney, Limbaugh and all the rest of them did.

As for the truth about the Vietnam War, here is it. It was a HUGE mistake based on a series of HUGE-HUGE ongoing lies. And it actually had absolutely nothing to do with defending our country because Vietnam was no threat to us at all. Sending Military Advisors and Green Berets like JFK did was warranted, but escalating and lying like LBJ and Nixon did was inexcuseable. In fact, it turned out to be mass murder. More than a million people died in that war, all for next to nothing, and we did most of the killing, including in Agent Orange, Napalm, Cluster Bombs, Arc Light airstrikes, wiping out entire ecosystems and farm country, etc. It was America at our worst, and the blame goes directly to the top.
