I don't believe 'em <g> What percent expected to be as heavily indebted as they are? At the beginning of the past two years, what percent would have said they'd be saving for retirement but instead drew down their savings?

I would agree that some will have turned a new leaf, but I don't think consumer mentality has pulled back much at all yet. I think a fairly high percentage will smell the check in the mail and spend it in advance. Then they'll use it to pay down their newly acquired VISA debt. Oh... maybe that's what they mean <g>
