even when you have the damn coverage. You just said it all. When I hear people trying to defend our current health care system and flat out reject the notion of a single-payer one, I have to assume they have no idea how insured people are often treated by their carriers. People who get their health insurance thru a corporate employer are usually untroubled by the system, i.e. the insurers pay off as expected, etc. But those who are self-employed and own a private policy are totally vulnerable and on their own in trying to receive the coverage they were promised.
