I think the middle road is the one both Hillary and Obama will try to take. They plan to try and reform the system by keeping the private insurance industry we have in place. Single-payer is not even being considered as far as I know, so there is no either-or. I'm curious to see what kind of savings they think they can extract from a system that uses our current profit-driven insurance industry.
