I agree with VDH's notion that Obama would be far easier to defeat than Hillary.

That's unclear to me. Hillary has high negatives and "her cake is baked" as Frank Luntz likes to say. Everybody has made up his mind about her. Obama is more likeable, less well known, and is still growing as a candidate. He has done far far better than I thought he would when I first saw him last year. He has grown as a candidate. He's smart, thinks on his feet, and never discount real charisma.

But now I think that age and treachery will defeat youth and hope, and Hillary will get the nomination by hook or by crook.

Let's hope for a donnybrook fit for the ages.
