Glenn: Remember that the Super Delegates, at least many of them, are politicians. And they know that HIllary has dangerously short and toxic coattails, that might hurt some of them. And they also might not want to be seen as "stealing" (rightly or wrongly) the nomination from a truly exciting candidate like Barack Obama...In most polls Obama is the better candidate in a head to head match-up against McCain...Obama is the more effective candidate when it comes to fundraising, attracting Independents and new voters, and this is "a change election year" -- Hillary can't truly run as a change candidate as she is part of political dynasty that has already spent many years in the White House. I do not see how Hillary can close the elected delegate gap between now and the convention. And many of the Super Delegates are upset with the negative campaigning Hillary is doing...The Clintons are still powerful BUT I sense we will ultimately see Obama become the Democratic nominee.
