Absolutely... and you can make a fortune with a film even if it never gets into the theaters... just the DVD sales alone should far out pace box office sales by 200% to 300%, and then there's foreign DVD sales... all foreign sales represents 42% of total gross... then there's domestic cable and broadcast television leases which can bring in $3.5 million for a 6 month lease, and then there's foreign television sales and leasing... if you make a film for $2.5 million and lease it to cable television for $3.5 million, you already have a nice profit... did you ever notice that whenever a new film is being shown on cable TV that they show it constantly? That's because they have a 6 month lease and they want to show it as often as they can to make sure they get their money's worth...

All of this without being shown in theaters, and without advertising... when a film is advertises on TV, it's already dead...
