The US Dollar @ 72 remains the "whisper number."
"Traders are "not" being one-sided on the Dollar trade... they're just helping give Paulsen and Bernanke what they want... a competitive devaluation down to USD 72"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Did you see Warren Buffett guest hosting on CNBC? He talked about - "skating to where the puck is going - not to where it is."
And did you see Louise Yamada on "Fast Money" the other night? She featured two charts - the US Dollar and Gold. Her near term target on the Dollar was -- drumroll please.... 72.
Skate to where the puck is going and USD 72.
...what can I say?
I wonder if Buffett and Yamada are now offical 'gewroos'?
US Dollar Stabilization was removed from the G-7 agenda because there is no agenda for a strong dollar. They had already acquiesced to Bernanke & Paulsen who sold them a "managed descent" plan with a competitive devaluation down to USD 72.
Welcome to...
"The New - Hanky Panky Dollar"
-- Thank You Hank Paulsen
Ben & Hank are getting exactly what they wanted. But, what they don't want.... is for that managed descent to turn into a speculative rout.
As far as gold is concerned... if one was a non-bull, evil-incarnate, beazulbub, and "backed up the truck" and loaded up on gold & gold stocks on the August, and December corrections vs. being banged around like a little steel ball in Tommy's machine...

...then all you are doing is swinging in the catbird seat, watching everyone else skate to where the puck is, and pausing every now and then, to just walk over and pick up big wads of cash -- whenever you you want. Big, fat, wads of cash -- left by those very unahppy, very cranky "real bulls" who are now chasing the puck.
Sure seems like there are a helluva lot of happy non-bulls and unhappy bulls in this world.
...of course -- that depends upon what your definition of a bull is.
I know what mine is, do you know what yours is?
Mo later Monday night, and keep those skates sharp!
