I heard that they got the record of less than MAC1 becuasae they could not get MAC1 on the return pass within 30 minutes of the 1st pass. But the record of 1st to break sound holds, even though it is not an official land speed record at MAC1. Think about it....Chuck Yeager 50 years ago to this day did not do it twice, only once <G>
