Sunday will mark 13 years since losing my wife. The very first thing I realized when I found myself alone and responsible for housework, is just how much doggone work it is. I used to rejoice at the end of summer, knowing I could forget yard work for the winter. Housewives aren't so lucky since housework is absolutely NEVER done. It's hard, thankless work and I find it especially boring. Still, I can't live in a messy house, so I make my bed every morning, keep my kitchen nice a shiny and everything picked up. Dusting and running the vacuum, now that's another matter, and I don't even want to talk about the bathroom.
