No not chicken and egg at all. Things are already improving in Iraq. I don't except that the improvement will continue in a straight linear fashion but 37 years is a fantasy. Simple casulty number counts don't show all the ways that things are improving, but I'll go with them, and use the site you linked to as a source 2006 average per month - 68.5 Average per month since October 07 (inclusive), not counting March because its barely started - 33.4 icasualties.org Iraqi deaths 2006 average - 1435.6/month Average since Oct. - 505 icasualties.org
