Expected yes. Absolutely. Please never feel I do not expect what goes on here. I just don't think it's nice. And yes, I think it is different to ridicule an idea versus a person. That is why we have the fallacy of the Ad Hominem. There's a reason that's a fallacy.

A person and an idea are not equivalent. They are not the same thing. If they were, the concept of the Ad Hominem would not exist, would it? My "covert commenting", as you call it, is simply my attempt to skirt ad hominems. I know, that's terribly sneaky of me, but I can but try- as I did here. Apparently I failed to get my point across to you, but I did try.
