Don Prahl probably meant they were producing 5,000 to 6,000 pounds of concentrate per day. I have tried to confirm such from the company but so far no response.

Isn't the concentration of moly higher than 1%? May explain part of the puzzle.

I don't know. The best I was able to find on the website or recent financial statements suggests that the concentration of Moly in the feed going into the plant is 1% to 1.4%. {Ashdown update, December 6, 2007]

You are right a higher concentration going in would be the answer. And it would be oh so sweet!

I see pictures on the website of ore from various parts of the mine with captions that show concentrations of Moly over 5%. While I have no idea what would be a typical dilution for the local conditions or mining method, one would hope that less than 200% dilution would be possible. Maybe the issue is that those 5% areas are smaller areas and they are blended into lower grade ore to keep the feed consistent?

I'm no expert on that flotation process, but it seems like, from an operational standpoint, a consistent concentration in the feed is easier to handle in order to get get higher recoveries than if the feed fluctuates between 1% one day and 5% the next day.

Nonetheless, the point is that GPXM has taken the Ashdown Project from shuttered to an operation that is operating well and is spinning off free cash; maybe as high as $14 Million per quarter.*** The short time period in which this has happened is a testament to the management involved and such bodes well as they redirect their attentions to the Mineral Ridge project.
