Google it. Originally, it was supposed to be $592 million. But, that was before they found out that the electrical wiring would catch on fire when appliances were turned on. Not to mention all the other problems. It was supposed to be completed in 2006, but now they don't know when it will be finished. As a result, no one really knows what the actual costs will be. They have spent in excess of $600 million already.

Most embassies aren't specially built. Generally, they take a conventional commercial building and spend a million or two to convert it. Canada was going to build one in Moscow. $30 million was budgeted for it. Now Moscow is usually ranked as the most expensive city in the world, so that figure is probably at the upper limit.
