"Now you do claim something illegal is going on - though you have no proof except paranoid fears imo." I don't trust any administration when it comes to protecting rights. I wasn't a big fan of Echelon when it was being planned. "Some members of Congress leak things like that." And most don't. "You realize the US has been listening in on international communications - from one foreign location to another - for decades legally?" You do realize that isn't the issue under discussion? I do know that. I also know the Europeans aren't real happy about it, but can't do anything.
