No, they don't help current account deficit, oil is a major
part of it. This is financial/currency crisis, and the
Fed is aware of what its actions are causing to the dollar
and inflation.

They need to break financial Ponzi economy (made by Alan
Greenspan) and introduce a stable currency at a lower level
(especially against Asian currencies), so that manufacturing
and the real economy can recover, eventually. A very difficult
task, given the leverage out there, and I am not sure at
all the Feds know what they are doing -ggg-
