I think it's pertinent on a Brinker board simply because it demonstrates that bob is not the only one who uses various tricks to try to make his performance look better. I suspect almost all newsletter writers do it in various ways.

Mutual fund companies use similar methods in their advertising. They might make some claim about their overall performance record without including 4 or 5 funds that were eliminated or merged due to poor performance. There are many other tricks that they use.

I know none of that justifies Bob leaving the QQQs out of his calculations, but I think it is fair and important to point out that his shenanigans are pretty much par for the course in the industry.
