ephud and Octavian. I will give you both one warning and this is it. Neither of you have posted here in months, yet both of you pop up and right away you are talking about someone else. This someone els you appear to have personal issues with, and on other boards you can do what you want but not here. The goal of this board is to provide a forum for those who are genuinely interested in discussing Bob Brinker, Marketimer and Moneytalk.

Now to answer your question, Bob has said he revised his timing model to add the Sentiment Indicator following the 1987 stock market crash. More recently, he began adding a numerical value to his Sentiment Indicator. I have my own belief as to why he did it, but the fact is he now publishes a number. I believe I have figured out how he calculates the number because I am aware of the sentiment data points that he tracks and I played around with the data until I came up with his numbers. Suffice it to say, for those interested, his Sentiment Indicator is showing a very very high level of bearishness which, from a contrarian standpoint, is bullish for the market.
