The latest on Fitzgerald i gather is that Eagles want him bad and have offered Lito Shephard and Reggie Brown, Cards reply supposedly "No way, NOT enough!" But talk is Fitzgerald and Cardinals are far apart in their contract extension talk with Fitzgerald.And Cardinals have salary cap problems.Max p.s. Keep in mind he is only 24 years old. Remember Larry Fitzgerald The NFL's Golden Boy the anti- Maurice Clarett the Goddy-Goody Boy Who supposedly followed all the rules while Maurice Clarett tried to smash them. Fitzgerald who refused to join Clarett in his suit against the NFL Draft Rule and was rewarded by being allowed to flaunt the NFL rule that NO Sophomore is allowed in the NFL Draft. The NFL ruling Fitzgerald was really a Junior because of a year in prep school. Well Wide Receiver Larry Fitzgerald the talented former University of Pittsburgh standout who has been "hiding out" in Arizona playing for the Cardinals since he was Drafted 4 long years ago may be about to enter the Spotlight. The Philadelphia Eagles have designs on him and it does not look like Lowly Arizona can do anything to keep him down on their Tempe Farm. If Larry Fitzgerald formerly known as Larry Fitzgerald Jr. is going to SOAR as a Wide-out Arizona is not the place for him to do it no matter how big the skies are out there in the Desert. Fitzgerald is doing OK in Arizona financially scheduled to make $14.6 Million next season as a young receiver who is already a Pro Bowler. But Larry wants more and he seems likely to command it. Try $25 - $30 Million a year GUARANTEES in his next contract. Not bad for catching a Football very very well. The bigger problem for the Cardinals is what that does to their player budget as they try to build a REAL Contender. It destroys it limiting their other options. So the Cardinal brass is taking the Hint. And it looks like the Eagles are buying the BAIT There is NO deal yet but if you are a member of the Larry Fitzgerald Fan Club if there is one you might want to dump your Cardinals season tickets and head for Rocky Country and those Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches as you root root root for Larry.
