This IA64 story highlights an important aspect of Adobe's future. As much as Adobe software benefits from the development of faster processors, chip manufacturers obviously rely on widely-known, higher-end, processor-intensive products like Photoshop to provide understandable performance benchmarks once a new chip is released. Adobe coming out so soon with news of a product optimized for the very latest architecture is a good indicator that the company is responsive, innovative, and popular.
