Good post, Mq., but I wonder about one thing: You have made your fortune and are financially secure. Your time, therefore, is essentially your own to do as you please. Thus, the puttering and the playing are affordable. Others who must put nose to grindstone don't have the luxury to putter and play and thus are forced to call the electrician, plumber, etc., for there is no time. And time is the greatest luxury.

We should all be aware that true wealth lies not in piles of money but to have or earn just enough so that we are able to comfortably and securely do as we please. This does not necessarily mean that a Midas-sized fortune is necessary. Each of us can best gauge what we need. It does not necessarily have to be colossal so long as it buys us freedom as we define it. I am glad to see that you have been able to reach that status. I think very few do.
