What do you think happens to the trade deficit $'s that go out of the country? Do we get to spend them?

No we get to use the goods and services that we buy with them.

If you require food to survive, and I own all the food and decide that I will raise the price 100% each year, what happens to your wealth? And my wealth?

Buying the food would not be a wealth transfer. Just as with oil you are better off not worse off from the purchase. Your wealth is higher than if you did not make the purchase, because the purchase enables you to create wealth.
