>> If your getting better products for the same price, that in many ways represents an increase in your real wealth.<< productivity is supposed to measure your ability to generate dollars. nobody cares if you can produce 5 times the widgets if your revenues and profits tank (see dram manufacturing history). your response has nothing to do with dollars, it has to do with subjective nonsense. if those faster computers generated more dollars, they would have done so without having to arbitrarily make them up. they faked the numbers. they did so b/c all that "value" in the numbers didn't exist. if it did, it would've shown up in the numbers.
